As the year draws to a close, how will you remember it?
As we approach 2026, is there a part of you that’s saying ‘I should have done xyz by now’?
What if we paused with intention, and little grace, and reflected on the journey of this year?
And then, set our intentions for 2026 with fresh, inspired energy?
In this workshop, we will use an art-based process to reflect on our journeys this year (not just the milestones we hit or missed!) with self-compassion and clarity and set out intentions for 2026 from a place of alignment and fresh energy.
Our brains are wired to focus more on the things that didn’t go well (coulda-woulda-shoulda!), so it’s vital that we take a moment to identify wins and the shifts, no matter how small.
What to expect:
We will start with a guided visualization, followed by art-making. And we will integrate insights with some journaling and close with a circle of sharing.
No art skills needed - we will use art or collage simply as a way of self-expression. Often, the art-making process can reveal the wisdom that our bodies already hold.
So come as you are, greet the end of the year with celebration and walk into the next one with curiosity and intention.

Hi, I'm Shub. Artist, Art Therapy Facilitator and Founder of Canvas of Calm. This workshop is something I'm offering for the fourth year ina row, transitioning from online to in-person since last year!
A great session for creative exploration and expression! I'm so glad I invested time in myself to make art and in the process also made some lovely connections.
Shub was very welcoming, creating a sense of calm within which I could reflect and respond to her prompts in a comfortable and safe environment.
In 2019, as I was struggling to build or more so reconnect with my creative self, I discovered Shub’s visual journalling workshop.
Not only it helped me to rebuild my sketching practice but also gave me a canvas to express my feelings too. This became a calm in the chaos of 2020 - the year that it was.
Shub's workshop was extremely energizing at a time when everything seemed to be emotionally draining.
It was two hours of my weekend that made me happy and took my mind off my worries! The prompts were extremely beneficial and enjoyable to complete.
