Feel like you're on an endless hamster wheel?

Life and the constant need to hustle wearing you down? Our programs at Canvas of Calm will help you connect with yourself deeply and get off the auto-pilot mode for good.

Art-therapy based sessions

Art holds the power to reveal things that we aren't aware of cognitively. Our sessions start with gentle prompts to guide your art-making to get the self-exploration process going. And no, you don't need to be 'good' at art for this.

Dive into your inner world through art

You're the expert of your life. Everything you need is already within you. Our sessions will simply guide you to uncover some deep-seated beliefs and blocks. This will empower you to take action towards your next steps.

A great session for creative exploration and expression! I'm so glad I invested time in myself to make art and in the process also made some lovely connections.

The session opened a part of me that was closed shut for a long time. It felt good to recognise myself. I'll attend more sessions in the future. Highly recommend!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do participants need to know how to make art?

No prior art experience needed! Whether you’re a complete beginner or have artistic experience, our workshops help you connect with your emotions and creativity without needing to be an "artist".

How does it differ from traditional art jamming?

Our programs use art for emotional expression and hence, they delve deeper, offering possibility for deeper insights. But, if you're looking for something purely for fun, we have a few ideas for those as well, talk to us!

Are these art lessons? Do I get to take my art home?

While we’ll be creating using various art materials, the focus here is on self-expression, not on learning to create the perfect, frame-worthy piece of art. You’re welcome to take home your artwork, but you'll see that true value of the workshop lies in the process, rather than the final product.

What can I expect from a session?

You can expect a blend of expressive arts (art supplies, collage, clay and maybe picture books too!) and journalling. Depending on the location, we may bring in elements of nature and mindfulness. We can design programs to last from 90 minutes to even a full day with multiple sessions.

Is this Art Therapy?

The sessions are based on art therapy framework, but it is not a replacement for therapy, particularly if you have more serious mental health concerns. However, in these sessions, you might uncover things that you may want to explore further in personal therapy sessions.

What age groups are these recommended for?

While these sessions are typically designed for adults, we are more than happy to design something for senior citizens, or groups of young teens as well. Also, if you have a group of friends you want to celebrate something in meaningful way, we can plan something for you.
